Ijin is OK.
Ijin is in the hospital.
They said that he dosen’t need major surgery.
He fell in a coma.
He just needs rest.
He has more than 20 bullet wounds with a lot of the bullets still inside, most of them healing wrong. A lot of the bullet wounds on the scan look years old.
Most of the minor surgeries to take out some of the bullets and restitch has a high success rate. The rest can stay for now till he gets better.
His scar tissue that was carved out will just have to regrow.
They put ointment on those tissues.
The contusions and stab wounds can be stiched up but not fully healed.
Any longer and those wounds could have gotten infected..
He has a concussion.
It’s minor. Sleep will do.
He needs a lot of stitches and bandages.
As long as he dosen’t pop them he’ll be fine.
He has at least 25 broken bones all over. Most look years old and have healed wrong.
He’ll be able to walk hopefully after a couple of weeks in a cast.
They’ve never seen anything like it.
They’ll do everything they can to help.
His family is away on vacation.
We’re here.
& here we’ll stay.

When they arrive 025 sees Jin, the bodyguard who was sitting right next to her, grab 069 and wheel her into the hospital.
She follows.
025 has never trusted hospitals.
Too much bad experiences.
But she’s willing to make an exception for 069.
“She’ll be OK”
She hears Monk.
He tries to pat her shoulder.
She almost flips him.
She KNOWS 069 will be OK.
This is a hospital.
She’s a numbered.
She’ll be ok,
Right?
…
Liam visits.
He comes and goes.
He seems more worried about her instead of 069.
How dare he?

When Liam came he saw that the SW group was still there.
He checks the time.
It’s almost midnight.
He goes to the only one he recognizes.
The black haired boy.
…
“Seokji was it?”
The boy startles awake.
“Hi. My name is Liam. I am a…associate of Ijin’s. We met before. I’ll stay. You should go home and get some rest.”
Seokji looked confused and disoriented.
His eyes were glassy.
“N-noo” he slurs,
“I can’t.....I need to stay till he gets better.”
Liam sighs.
“That’ll take weeks. You need to eat and sleep in a proper bed.”
This dosen’t convince him.
Liam has an idea.
“You saw that footage of me. I can handle the professor. He won’t try anything I promise.”
“You said in that same feed that you can’t”
He did.
“I did. But now is different. He dosen’t have a hostage. SW here has world class security doesn’t it? It’s a security company it has to. How about you and your group come check in in shifts. You can’t even fight if you’re like this. What if I was someone here to kidnap Ijin?”
Seokji stares at him.
“Are you?”
Liam shakes his head.
Seokji probably recognize him from that car incident. He was a brave kid. But he isn’t helpful like this.
“Is your leader here? Who’s in charge of the shift changes?”
Seokji looks confused.
“No one?”
It’s been days.
Liam confronts the Team Leader, who was on the phone with someone.

“I really think she’d be a great instructor.”
Bin was being very pushy.
Team Leader(Team Leader 2, I’m calling him this now) wasn’t so sure.
“We don’t know anything about her”
“We know she’s with Ijin. He seems to trust her and he dosen’t trust anybody. She saved his life. Also you saw for yourself her skills on that screen. She’d be a great instructor.”
Bin bonds easily and quickly.
He isn’t sure.
But on the other hand Bin has proven time and time again to be an amazing judge of character.
“.....I’ll think about it. I need to do more research on her first. Watch her if possible.”
He can’t think about that right now. He’s buried in work and organizing everything for Jane Doe & Ijin’s care.
“Aye Aye”
Sigh. There’s always something new.
“Hey I need to talk to you”
Team Leader got goosebumps and spins around.
“Woah, I’m not here to fight you. I want to talk about how you’re handling your team”
These guys again?
“We met before. I’m Liam. You need to institute a schedule or your troops will collapse from exhaustion. My group & I can help guard and care for Ijin and 069. You guys should go home and get proper rest.” Liam offers.
Team Leader shifts his feet.
He saw with his own eyes these guys’ skills.
They’re very dangerous.
They have some kind of connection with Ijin.
Something the extensive background check didn’t pick up on.
He dosen’t trust them.
“I assure you 006 that we are fine by ourselves. Once we get situated I will institute a plan for a shift schedule.” He tried to sound as nonchalant as possible in front of this deadly killer.
Liam smiles.
“I see how it is. Let me rephrase my offer. I already know that you don’t trust me or our group. But you trust your Ijin. 001 to us. He is…or possibly was a very valuable member of our posse. You are treating him. We also owe you many thanks for your treatment of 069 at this modern hospital even though she isn’t an official employee. In gratitude we want to offer our services. You have seen our skills. Please let us into your shift schedule to help guard the both of them from the Professor & others like him.”
Liam smiled curtly, his eyes shooting daggers.
He wasn’t used to having to repeat himself to a stranger.
Team Leader coughed.
“If you phrase it that way…..Very well. We accept. How many members do you have?”
“Well we have me, 025, 032, & Maya so 4. We can take as many shifts as you need. Day & night, call us anytime.”
He took a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Team Leader.
When Team Leader unraveled the paper he saw a phone number.
Most likely to a burner phone.
Liam put his hand over his ear, imitating an old timey phone.
Team Leader blinked and Liam was gone. He disappeared.
Huh. Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to have a member of this group on our team, at least till we catch this S.O.B., Team Leader thought.
