Re: Comenity Didn’t Report In July

They told you more than they have told me over the phone. When I did finally get through for the zero balance letters the CSR did apologize, then threw out the best line "I'm sorry, I know how frustrating this is because I'm a customer too"

I paid over $40k in CC debt off in a two week period, and my updated score is being held hostage over $3400 in balances that were paid over 60 days ago.

Has anyone else noticed that Comenity store cards didn't report for July?

I have 2 store cards that I got early in my rebuild, Bealls and Venus. In June, Bealls had a balance of $434 out of a $1400 CL and Venus had a balance of $67 out of a $1200 CL. July 6th, I paid them both off (I was able to pay online during the "outage" on their website). Both accounts show the payment processed and I have a zero balance. Comenity usually reports on the 25th of each month for me (if I've had any activity on the card). There have been months that it didn't report, but I also had no activity on a zero balance.

Just wondering if the recent "outage" had anything to do with this.

It's September now. They haven't reported since June.

What a deal. I didn't realize everyone has been waiting since June for updates.

Filing a dispute doesn't seem to expedite the process any either.

They reported on June 25th for both my accounts - quite possible that it might be at the end of Sept (25th), at least in my case. Maybe check the date they last reported on your account(s).

My EX dispute closed/completed today and they updated my balance to $0. Even bumped my score 12 pts!

That's awesome! I actually just got the alert that my second dispute has closed as well.

Looks like they are finally started to get caught up.

Re: Comenity Didn’t Report In July

Just chiming in... checked both of my Comenity accounts and neither have reported since June... crazy. I put about $400 on my Legendary Pine MC a few days ago and it usually reports on the 13th so let's see.

Re: Comenity Didn’t Report In July

This is good to know! I think I'll have to file disputes as well. We're buying a home and Comenity is holding hostage my mortgage scores. Just like you, we worked hard toward paying off ~$45K in debt. We began in July, and since then my middle FICO 8 has risen from 601 to 724. My middle FICO 5,4,2 score went from 599 to 671 but should be higher because we paid off three Comenity accounts in July that have not yet been reported: BJ's card (from $9K to $0); RH card (from $4400 to $0); and Ballard (from $890 to $0). We truly believe that my mortgage scores would benefit considerably if only Comenity would report zero balances for these three accounts. It's incredibly frustrating! Might you have any tips for filing the disputes? Thanks so much in advance!

Re: Comenity Didn’t Report In July

I have a membership with EX and filed my dispute there because it's simple on the app. Once those closed, the other bureaus updated within a couple of days.
They finally seem to be catching up, so your disputes may not take as long.

Comenity What Are You Doing?

I know they were updating or going through something with their system a while back but it seems they still haven't got it together.

In fact they haven't updated credit reports for my Overstock account in so long I just got an alert from credit Karma inquiring.

It looks like you have a balance on your CCB/OVERST account.* Since you haven't used this account in the last 3 months, we want to make sure the balance belongs to you.

Check in with your account to make sure all the charges are yours. If anything looks suspicious, you can follow steps to file a dispute with Credit Karma's Direct DisputeTM tool.

It's not affecting me right now because I always leave a small balance on it. But if I was going AZEO it would be definitely a frustrating situation.

Hope they get it together soon.
