Last Sunday morning I woke up with a good feeling in my body. It usually doesn’t last that long, but for some reason it did that day. Especially since my cell phone doesn’t have a touch screen, nor is it smart. My phone simply flips for phone calls and text messages and that’s it. So while I waited for my sandwich, thats exactly what I did. I sat and people watched. I was watching up to the moment you walked into the door. Yes you did, you walked it perfectly. You had your hair down to your shoulders, your bag strapped to your back, and your glasses resting delicately on your nose. From head-to-toe, from smile to your perfectly shaped ass, I just knew I was in love with you. You walked up to the register and surprisingly you ordered the exact same thing that I did. I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t sure if you smiled at me, but I definitely saw you smile in my direction. If it wasn’t meant for me, then the person who it was meant for never got it because I took it. You were so beautiful. You sat down in the nook behind the bar. Instead of reaching for your phone you grabbed out a book. Instead of staring mindlessly into the screen of your cellphone, you chose to shove your delicate nose into the crevice of a good book. The Feminine Mystique by. Betty Friedan, how could I forget. I wanted to know you badly. You sat with such poise, I had to know your name. I sat staring at you. I’m so sorry, I know that sounds utterly creepy, but I couldn’t help myself. You were absolutely stunning. I wanted to speak to you, but my mind ran blank when I thought of what to say. My food was ready and handed to me. I made a steady walk towards the door on the far side of the room. As i opened the door I turned around and made one final look at you before I exited. This time I was certain you peeked your head out from your book to smile at me, but I decided to accept your warm smile with a smile, and I proceeded out the door. I’m sure you will never read this, but if so, just know I felt it too. I saw you too. I noticed you too. It was real, and it was. If I ever see you again, it will probably be at our ground zero where it sparked…The coffee shop.
